French Art Deco Pedestal Fruit Bowl - 1930s

An elegant French Art Deco fruit bowl dating from the 1930s, distinguished by its refined architectural silhouette and beautifully balanced proportions. Crafted from smoky glass and elevated on a stepped pedestal base, the design is completed by two sculptural side handles that lend the piece an unmistakably streamlined appearance. The combination of translucent smoke-tinted glass and geometric detailing perfectly captures the sophisticated aesthetic of the Art Deco period, where functionality met bold, modern design. Its elevated form allows the bowl to command attention while remaining remarkably light and elegant. Whether used as a centerpiece, fruit bowl, or purely decorative object, this rare French example embodies the timeless glamour and understated luxury of early twentieth-century decorative arts. 12cm high, 28 x 40cm
