Large decorative pewter plate designed by renowned sculptor Olof Ahlberg (1876–1956) for the Swedish foundry Schreuder & Olsson. The wavy, faceted rim swirls with water and fish in low relief in characteristic Art Nouveau manner. Originally designed in the early 20th century, this example was manufactured after Ahlberg's passing, as confirmed by its base markings. Substantial enough to serve as a fruit platter, or simply beautiful as a decorative object in its own right. Signed 'O. Ahlberg' and stamped 'Schreuder & Olsson', with year mark 'U9' confirming 1969 manufacture.
