Stellae Char

The Stelae Chair explores the idea of furniture as monumental yet lightweight object. It translates the quiet permanence, sculptural simplicity, and commanding silhouette of carved stones into a contemporary object. Its continuous form allows the backrest and rear support to emerge from a single monolithic gesture, while a series of concentric carved lines envelops the chair, introducing texture, rhythm, and light. These grooves transform the material into a tactile landscape, revealing subtle variations as light moves across its surface. Designed as the natural companion to the Altar Dining Table, the Stelae Chair balances sculptural presence with everyday function, creating an object that feels both timeless and contemporary.
